There are many famous sportspersons and other celebrities whom I know and admire but today I would like to talk about the famous athlete, Neeraj Chopra. He is an Indian player and plays Javelin throw. Around few years ago, he became popular when he won gold medal in Olympics 2020 in javelin throw competition. After winning that competition, many national and international news channels featured him.
Even social media influencers uploaded posts about his historic win, so that time I came to know about him. He did many interviews and talked about his struggle for achievement. As per his words, he did around 12 hours long practice every day before taking part in the Olympics. Besides this, earlier, he was rejected many times by state sports Authorities to participate in Olympics, but he never lost a hope and won gold for India recently.
After his historic win for nation, Indian government as well as his home state Haryana government awarded him with huge amount and high rank government job. Since then, I have been following him on social media, and he is inspiration of millions of youngsters. He is very active on social media and always raises voice for general issues of the society.
Moreover, he always encourages youth to play games and stay away from bad company and drugs. He also donates some income for social works such as paying education expenses of needy students and donating food to poor people. After knowing about his achievement and good works for society, I think he is a perfect role model for the youth.
