To be honest, I know a few people who have chosen a medical profession. However, today I would like to talk about my friend, Akash. He is my childhood friend, and we have studied together till 10th standard. After matriculation, he chose the medical stream in senior secondary as he wanted to be a doctor. He is working as a heart specialist doctor in a government hospital, Chandigarh.
Since the early days of school, he had a desire to help needy patients who are not able to afford their treatment. In actual, his father died due to lack of proper treatment and money when he was in 8th class. Since that day he promised himself to become a doctor to help the poor patients as well as also for his better career. After senior secondary, he cleared the medical entrance exam and got selected for MBBS education in government college.
Last year, he finished his studies and became a doctor. Moving ahead, he is not a money-minded person as he helps the needy patient in every possible way to give free treatment through government schemes. He is one of the most popular doctors in my area due to his helping nature. Apart from this, last month he also organized a free health check camp on his birthday.
He is enjoying his career as a doctor. I also admire him for his dedication towards his work. Even though I am busy with my work, whenever I have free time I must meet him. Additionally, his positive energy and vibes always refresh my mood. I feel proud on his achievements and volunteer work that he is doing as a doctor. So, this is a person who opted his career in medical field.
