Sample Answer 1

Well, noise is everywhere. It comes from road traffic, construction work, factories and from other places. Today, I am going to talk about a place which was very noisy. Actually(as a matter of fact),It was a IS Bindra cricket stadium in Mohali.

Last year, on 20 september there was a match between India and Australia and I went there to enjoy the match. Being a cricket fan, I was super excited for it. I wore India Jersey and even put paint on my face and also carried an Indian flag.

When I entered the stadium, it was packed with home- team fans who were cheering loudly. The noise was overwhelming but that noise was its own charm which is highly imperative (very important) to boost the confidence of players.

Another reason for loud noise was loudspeakers. The music was very energetic and fans were dancing and cheering their teams. I was mesmerized to hear loud noise there. Although, the stadium was so crowded, but it was one of the best feelings of my life to watch a cricket match live.

In IS bindra stadium, an international match was held after a long time due to corona restrictions so, people were excited to see their favourite players in the stadium and they were shouting loudly. So, that was a time when I visited a place which was very noisy but I enjoyed a lot.

Sample Answer 2

When I think of a noisy place it reminds me of garba which is the traditional dance of my state. I witness this bustling atmosphere every year around the month of October. The noise on the garba ground is not chaotic but it is melodious.

I do not run away from this noise rather I eagerly wait for the Navratri (9 nights) season to arrive. It makes my city and its people vibrant, energetic and musical. Normally this loud and booming music is played at many venues but I wish to mention the venue which is near my locality.

The area is around 500 square feet and the place is decorated with lights and speakers. Live singers and their team members sing the songs and the crowd dances on the tunes of the orchestra. This is the major source of the noise. The music is played so loud that it is impossible to hear what the person next to you is talking.

However, people are more interested in dancing and watching rather than talking. I am sure that the residence in the nearby areas must be disturbed by this uproarious sound. The government has set a time limit for loudspeakers. It is only a question of nine nights and most people love it.

Therefore, hardly anyone opposes it. What do I do when I hear the noise? Well! I enjoy. I get involved with it. I feel like dancing. It is not ear splitting for me at all. My heart beats with the rhythm of the sound. This is one of those noises which is awaited, liked and welcome to by most dancers. Thinking of noisy, bright and crowded garba grounds makes me nostalgic always.

Follow up

1.) Is there more pollution now than in the past?

Ans. Obviously yes, pollution is increasing day by day with the burgeoning proportion of the population. People are using their private vehicles and every area becomes more industrialized. There are no proper rules and regulations available to control air pollution. In the past, people used to travel without vehicles or there was less usage of vehicles. I must say that the increment in vehicles leads to create more pollution.

2.) In what ways can air pollution be reduced effectively?

Ans. Multifarious ways can be taken into account to reduce air pollution. First of all, people should use the public transportation system instead of private vehicles and the government should improve the maintenance of public transportation. Next to this, industries should use filters for chimneys. It is the responsibility of the general public that they should do recycling.

3.) Do you think the city is cleaner or dirtier than the countryside? Why?

Ans. I believe that cities are dirtier as compared to rural areas because of the number of people moving from the villages to urban areas for getting a good quality education and employment opportunities. So, they are using their private vehicles which leads to creating air pollution. Besides this, industries are also opening in the cities. On the other hand, in villages, there is more greenery so people can get fresh air and less pollution.

4.) What can factories and power plants do to reduce pollutants?

Ans. There are a lot of steps that factories and power plants can be taken into account. Industries have to change their old and outdated equipment that emitted a lot of gases into the environment. They have to shift from non-renewable energy to renewable energy which may improve public health. Apart from this, the height of chimneys should be high according to the guidelines of the government. In these ways, factories and power plants reduce pollution.

5.)Do you think many companies have been forced to reduce pollutants?

Ans. Yes, I think companies have been forced to reduce pollution because reducing pollutants in the air is important for human health and the environment. There are some rules and regulations made by the government and if companies do not follow that, they have to pay penalties or fines.

6.) Do you think the wind has any effect on pollution? How?

Ans. Wind can be helpful in dispersing pollutants. For instance, if I talk about Chennai, even though this city has more population than Delhi but due to the large open spaces and sea breezes, the pollutants can be dispersed.
