Taking risks is crucial in one’s life as it enables growth, spurs creativity as well as opens new opportunities and today I would like to speak about a popular water sport named Scuba Diving which I undertook with my friends even though I am not a swimming expert and generally refrain from water activities. I vividly remember that a couple of years ago, I had planned a trip to Lakshadweep Islands to celebrate one of my friend’s birthday and we were inclined to indulge in some out of the box activity as we wanted to make it a special and memorable day for her.
Moreover, my friend is fond of water sports so we decided to explore the vibrant under water life of the Arabian Sea which offers an ideal backdrop for this daring and adventurous activity in the Lakshadweep Islands as well as it is recommended to be the best place in India for this thrilling pursuit.
Additionally, I was quite nervous and scared in the beginning, however, with proper guidance and motivational words from our diving coach I grasped the underwater sport easily by learning all the safety skills meticulously, including some pressure-containing techniques when we are going down or moving up to the surface along with some basic floating and kicking.
Finally, I felt over the moon after trying this daring yet exciting activity as it provided me an opportunity to overcome my fear of water as well as discover and spend time in the blue transparent lagoons with sea creatures like turtles, vibrant fishes an as well as sharks and was a lifetime experience for me.
