INTRODUCTION
Giving a speech allows us to share our thoughts and opinions to a group of people. Today, I am going to talk about a time when I delivered a speech on the importance of celebrating festivals.
It happened last year, on the occasion of Diwali, I celebrated this festival with the people of my society. With the help of my cousins, I organized an event in the park which is in the vicinity of my home. At first, we all ate sweets and burst some crackers. All the children were very happy at that time. After some time, When I asked children, why we celebrate festivals but they had no answer.

Then I decided to give a speech so that I could tell them regarding the value of celebrating traditional festivals. I started my speech by telling all the people K that festivals are a great way to understand our culture. So, they should teach their kids how to celebrate festivals like Diwali, Dussehra,Lohri and many more.
If their childern celebrate these festivals, they get to know (get acquainted with) about their roots in the world and makes them proud of their country and culture which is the need of the day(hour). Nowadays, children are forgetting their traditions and cultures due to social media and are adopting western culture.
CONCLUSION
So, I wanted to connect them with their local culture. When it comes to my feelings, I felt quite satisfied after giving the speech as everyone was praising my oratorical skills(public Speaking skills).So that was a speech which I delivered.

Well, being a student I have participated in numerous competitions such as debate competitions, rakhi competitions, and chess competitions. However, today I am going to talk about a speech competition in which I took part.
At that time, I was in X standard. My school organized a speech competition for all the learners to strengthen their confidence levels. In that session, the students needed to take part because it was mandatory. There were approximately 45 students from my class. My teacher told me the topic was given on the same day as the speaking session.
I had a burning desire to win that speech competition, so, I prepared myself for it. During the speech competition, everyone was presenting and shared their views. Everyone was listening patiently as well. When my turn came, my topic was technology. I had to speak for at least 15 minutes on that specific topic.
At that particular moment, I had confidence in my heart. When I started delivering my views, everyone was listening to me with curiosity and it helped me to develop confidence during the speech. Even I advised the management to introduce smart classes at school.

In addition, there are a plethora of attributes of having smart classes at school such as students can easily understand the concept with visualization and can enhance their productivity. The school principal was impressed with the idea and the way I presented my views. I also felt on the seventh heaven at that time. The school management promised that they will surely consider my idea. So, this was the speech that I gave.

Well, to be brutally honest, I do not have the gift of the gab, so I haven’t given multiple speeches in my life. Here I’d like to talk about a time when I talked in front of around 50 residents of my hometown.
I vividly remember that it is a matter of around two years ago when on world environmental day an event was organized in a park that is a stone’s throw from my home. At that time my father stimulated me to give a speech to create cognizance among people to take some initiatives to make this world, a better place to survive. I prepared the speech reluctantly because I think expressing ideas in front of too many people is not my cup of tea.
However, I stepped on the stage and screwed up my courage and started speaking. Meanwhile, I acquainted the listeners not only with the severe problems which are arising only due to the negligence of human beings but also exhorted them to join hands together for the sake of the environment.
I gave this speech because it is a need of an hour to create awareness regarding the repercussions of deforestation and the significance of plants. However, in the beginning, I had butterflies in my stomach but later I just talked to Turkey. In the end, I got a big round of applause that made me walk in the air and brought a grin to my father’s face.

Well I have not delivered many speeches in my life. But I remember vividly When I was studying in 12th class, I delivered a speech in a competition which was organized by an NGO. That speech improved my self-confidence.
My topic of the speech was “find the real you”. It was a motivational speech. In my speech, I addressed so many students and der one thing which was really good was that everyone listened to me very seriously. I explained to every student present there how they can build their self-confidence and how and why they should never give up in their lives.
As a coin has two sides and every lock has a key so our life also has two-phases: success or failure, and every problem has a solution. So, I explained to them with this example that they all should try hard when they get the failure. Consequently, they will get success very easily and definitely. I finished my speech by covering the topic with “Love Yourself” and “choose your career which you like”.
Actually I chose this topic “Find The Real You” and never give up in life for a specific reason because there was a time in my life when I was so confused and was facing S d failure in almost every sphere of life and that failure broke me down and decreased my confidence level. I am really thankful to my parents because at that time they were the only ones who were supporting me and encouraging me every time and just with the help of their support and motivation.
I am able to overcome all the problems in my life. I remember vividly at that time when I was giving a speech I was just explaining my experiences and I think that’s the main reason why I connected with almost every student. After giving that speech when I met some students they all were thanking me because they were having problems in their life and getting depressed so they told me that my speech helped them in many ways.
I feel ecstatic (extremely happy) when I recall that time because every teacher and student praised me. That speech changed my life and I hope it changed the lives of some other students too. Now, I am more confident than before because whenever we speak in front of the public, then all our fears fade away. Hence, this was the speech which I delivered.
