Well, in this modern era, noise has become omnipresent due to the presence of a multitude of factories and vehicles. Here I’d to talk about a time when I heard a deafening noise. I vividly remember it is a matter of around 3 years ago when my exams were going on and after burning the midnight oil, I hit the hay at 11:30 pm. However, after some time | heard a loud noise made by my neighbour Mr.
Raj he was yelling and slamming our door which made me anxious as well as petrified. Firstly I tried to neglect it but he was doing so incessantly hence I screwed up my courage and open the door, in a panic voice he informed me that there is a prediction of an earthquake and he advised us to evacuate the home swiftly because it was not safe to stay inside for a long time. Hence, I ran inside and at the drop of a hat I woke my all family members up.
After spending nearly an hour there everyone was feeling restless. My father smelled a rat and he called the weather forecasting department by searching their contact number to get confirmation about that news their reply made us startled as they said we did not have such kind of information and this was just a rumour. Then everyone took a sigh of relief but the extreme level of noise caused me a severe headache and I did not perform well in the exam the next day due to which I felt blue.

No doubt, noise pollution has increased in past few years, and it is becoming intolerable for humans. Here, today I am going to talk about a situation when there was too much noise. It was about two weeks before, when I went to Taj restaurant which is a famous restaurant of my hometown. It is located in the heart of my city. This restaurant serves very delicious dishes as well as it is cheaper than other restaurants.
On that day, it was full of crowd because there was a grand birthday party going on. It was around 10 PM. The DJ System was too loud, even the waiter was not able to hear my order properly. Although there was a separate hall for party, but still loud music was disturbing the people in family hall. Apart from this, boys were shouting very loudly while dancing on DJ.
I started having headache with the excessive music noise. Honestly speaking, I got frustrated and I was not able to enjoy my food. There might have been many other folks who suffered like me on that night in restaurant.
Moving further, although I knew, it was against the law to play loudspeakers after 10 PM, yet I just requested the manager to lower the music volume because I didn’t want to spoil their birthday party. Moreover, I also wrote feedback to limit the music volume for parties, thus other people can also enjoy their meals. At last, I took my meal and came home. So that was an occasion when there was a lot of noise.

This question is really interesting because currently, day in and day out I am experiencing this situation. There is construction work going on right beside my home. A huge apartment is being constructed. From morning 8 am to evening 6 pm I hear noises of construction site laborers because they like to yell and talk while they work. It gives them a kick and motivation. I hear loud sounds of the cement concrete mixer machine. And there are also sounds of the children of laborers playing, crying, and fighting and the contractor screaming on the laborers.
The noises are irritating and ear splitting. Sometimes they make so much noise that it is impossible to concentrate on my work. The noises are shrill, unpleasant and deafening. The noise is ear piercing and insistent. There is no break it goes on and on all day until it gives you a headache. At times I hear a strong drill, a loud cry or a scream, and at times I hear too many sounds together. What I do when I hear the noise….I can’t do anything. I am helpless.
Even if I request them to make less noise it is not possible for them as the construction work is bound to make such noises. The maximum I can do is the try and do the work in the early and late hours. Especially the work which requires my focused attention. For the rest of the day I try to keep the windows and doors closed so that the intensity of the sound can be lessened and I will not be affected so much. Sometimes I try to put cotton or ear phones in my ears to feel peaceful or divert my attention.
I can do nothing but to wait until the work gets over, I feel constantly disturbed and distracted with such loud noises. I feel like taking a break and going away to some other place which is silent and peaceful. It is a very frustrating feeling. The more apartments will come up such things will keep happening. The city area is full of hustle bustle. It is a god idea to have a weekend home so that one can opt to go there when one wants a change from the daily busy and hectic life. I wish it gets over fast so that I can find peace again. As such our locality is very peaceful as it is not on the main roads.
